News Release

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Bloomington Technology Partnership (BTP) today announced a career and internship fair for Bloomington and Monroe County employers looking to hire employees or interns in technology-related fields. The event is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, October 1st from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center, located at 302 S College Avenue in Bloomington. The event is free to attend and light snacks and beverages will be provided to attendees.

“Finding talent is one of the tech sector's biggest concerns here and across the Midwest,” said Katie Birge, director of the Bloomington Technology Partnership. “We hope to match local employers with talent from Indiana University, Ivy Tech Community College and the newly opened Bloomington Code School.”

This year's career fair will include companies from the local tech sector, information about county-wide access to free code-learning software, and the Innovation District in the downtown Certified Technology Park. Information about the next classes for Bloomington Code School will be available as well. For more information about technology companies in Bloomington, visit http://bloomingtontech.com/.
