Northeast Indiana Works is set to launch a campaign next week to raise money for a $1.3 million integrated community learning center. The organization will detail the “Bringing it Home” matching program to support the center, which it says will provide skills training to meet the needs of local employers.

WHEN: 2 p.m. Sept. 18

WHERE: Vocational Technical Center, 2201 N. Jefferson St., Huntington

WHAT: Announcement of a “Bringing It Home” matching program to raise the remaining money for a $1.3-million integrated community learning center. The center will enhance the skills of young people and adults and meet the needs of employers.

WHO: Various community leaders will be on hand, as will representatives of Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, Northeast Indiana Works, WorkOne Northeast, and two major employers who have agreed to lead the matching program.
