News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – MainGate, the premier event retail and merchandising company in the country, and the NCAA are pleased to announce an exclusive wholesale merchandise agreement for committee and volunteer apparel.

Through the agreement, MainGate will create the complete line of official apparel worn by volunteers working at each of the NCAA's 89 championships held across the country each academic year. In addition, MainGate will develop and facilitate an internal e-commerce portal for the NCAA to easily place orders for their volunteer program. The agreement is in place for the upcoming 2014-15 season.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for MainGate and all of our employees,” said David Moroknek, President and CEO of MainGate. “Volunteers are such an important part of conducting a successful championship event, as we know first-hand here in Indianapolis from our city's history of hosting NCAA events. Volunteers are one of the many faces of the NCAA in its championship cities, and to be the official apparel provider for each of these individuals is a tremendous honor.”

“MainGate's history of working with very large scale sporting events and their turnkey capabilities were critical factors in the NCAA choosing to partner with them,” said Jeff Jarnecke, director of championships and alliances at the NCAA. “We are very excited to see our more than 25,000 volunteers across the country looking fantastic in the high-quality apparel that MainGate is known for producing.”
