Massachusetts-based Interactions Corp. says growing demand is leading to plans to add 1,000 workers in central Indiana by the end of next year. The customer service company currently has 400 employees in three Indiana offices. Chief Executive Officer Mike Iacobucci tells Inside INdiana Business the city's central location and skilled work force make it an ideal spot for an expansion. Interactions is also adding 1,000 workers at its Austin, Texas operatoins. The company says its clients include Kentucky-based Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) and Hyatt Hotels Corp. (NYSE: H). Aug. 27, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Interactions Corporation today announced plans to expand its Indianapolis workforce by adding 1,000 new employees by 2015 to support a rapidly expanding customer base.

Openings are for associates who provide a combination of customer service and data entry functions to support Interactions' iCenters. Interactions, the leading provider of conversational automated systems for customer care, has operated facilities in Indianapolis since 2006 to support Interactions' iCenters.

Indianapolis serves as Interactions' largest iCenter location, with additional locations in Austin, Texas, and Franklin, Massachusetts. The company currently employs hundreds of Intent Analysts in these facilities.
