The United States Department of Justice has named Josh Minkler acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. He was first assistant under former U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett, who has joined Indianapolis-based Bose McKinney & Evans LLP.

INdianapolis, Ind. — Josh J. Minkler, 51, has been named the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana. Minkler served as the First Assistant under former United States Attorney Joseph H. Hogsett and will now lead the federal prosecutor's office.

In addition to serving as the First Assistant, Minkler was the Drug Unit Chief and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuting drug, violent crime, and public corruption cases. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington, IN, in 1988, and earned a bachelor’s degree from Wabash in 1985.

Replacing Minkler as First Assistant U.S. Attorney is Joe H. Vaughn who previously served as the Criminal Chief.
