An annual list ranking “America's Top Colleges” includes 17 locations in Indiana. Forbes and the Washington, D.C.-based Center for College Affordability and Productivity considered factors such as student satisfaction, graduation rate and post-graduate success. The list includes 650 schools throughout the country and Indiana placed three in the top 100. More specific factors include average graduate salary, retention rates, alums receiving major national awards and numbers of prestigious scholarships.

The publication says the results show what students are “getting out of college,” as opposed to how they got into a particular institution.
