Indianapolis-based ExactTarget Inc. (NYSE: ET) has announced the chief executive officer of parent company, salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) will deliver a keynote speech at the Connections conference in September. Marc Benioff will join other keynoters, including tech entrepreneur and musician will.i.am, at the massive event. July 11, 2014

Indianapolis, Ind. — The ExactTarget Marketing Cloud from salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM) announced today that salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff will keynote the annual Connections conference Sept. 23-25 in Indianapolis. Additional keynotes will include ExactTarget Marketing Cloud CEO Scott McCorkle and executives from DonorsChoose.org, LinkedIn and musician and tech entrepreneur will.i.am.

Expected to attract 10,000 marketers, business leaders and software developers from around the world, the event will provide attendees actionable insights on how to transform customer interactions into exceptional brand experiences along the customer journey through email, mobile, Facebook, Twitter and the Web.

“Connections is the premier digital marketing industry conference, bringing together the most brilliant pioneers and entrepreneurs in the digital sphere,” said Scott McCorkle, chief executive officer, ExactTarget Marketing Cloud. “Connections ’14 offers three-days of education, inspiration and networking and we are pleased to welcome DonorsChoose.org, LinkedIn and will.i.am to share stories of innovation and vision for the future of business.”

In the keynote addresses on Tuesday, Sept. 23, ExactTarget Marketing Cloud CEO Scott McCorkle and salesforce.com CMO Lynn Vojvodich will be joined by:

– Nick Besbeas – vice president, marketing for LinkedIn with more than 20 years as a marketing and business strategy trailblazer, cofounder of marketing and business analytics firm digiMine, now Audience Science

– Charles Best- founder of DonorsChoose.org, chosen as one of Oprah Winfrey’s “ultimate favorite things,” selected by Fast Company as one of the “50 Most Innovative Companies in the World” and recognized by Fortune Magazine on its “40 Under 40 Hottest Rising Stars in Business”

– will.i.am –seven-time Grammy Award winner and frontman for pop supergroup The Black Eyed Peas and entrepreneur, Chief Creative Officer, 3D Systems Inc., Chairman i.am+ and co-founder, Beats Electronics

Connections will explore how to create a digital journey for customers that will inspire action, build brand loyalty and drive business. Featuring yet-to-be-announced authors, industry analysts and keynotes from ExactTarget Marketing Cloud executives, Connections offers ten unique content tracks and more than 60 breakout sessions. Content tracks will focus on customer journey development, emerging trends, industry predictions, professional development, best practices and more.
