A new brewery is set to open next week in McCordsville. Scarlet Lane Brewing Co. Chief Executive Officer Eilise Lane spent several years brewing in Oregon and says she hopes to bring some “Northwest influence to the Midwest.” Lane says she spent six years home-brewing and shadowing Oregon brewers before deciding to launch her own production company. She says she hopes to “re-pave the way” for women in the industry by operating a brewery with female management and investors.

Scarlet Lane Brewing is holding a launch party on Wednesday, May 14th in Indianapolis. The event will be at Fire by the Monon in Broad Ripple from 6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
