Ivy Tech Inks Another Transfer Agreement

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College and Northwood University have created a new statewide transfer agreement to assist students wanting to complete a bachelor's degree in business administration or hospitality administration.
Under the new agreement, any Ivy Tech student completing the Associate of Science degree in Business Administration will transfer as a junior with at least 60 credits into Northwood University's Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. In addition, students completing an Associate of Science in Hospitality Administration will transfer as a junior with at least 60 credits into Northwood University's Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality Management. Also, these Ivy Tech students have the opportunity to take other Northwood University business courses, including Automotive Marketing and Management.
With these agreements, Northwood University is offering students from Ivy Tech the opportunity to transfer as juniors into their competitive program. This agreement aligns with Ivy Tech's “2+2” initiative, which seeks to forge transfer agreements with as many four-year institutions as possible, increasing the ability of Ivy Tech students to transfer on and seek further education.
This is the first formal degree transfer agreement between the two institutions. The two colleges hope to form additional transfer agreements in the future.
