News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Central Indiana VYPE Foundation will host its second annual golf outing on Monday, May 5 at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind.

Athletic directors and principals from 92 central Indiana high schools have been invited to partake in a day of golf and the celebration of prep sports, made possible by several generous sponsors such as HatWorld/LIDS. Currently, a total of 73 high schools have registered to attend the event, which will include more than 120 golfers.

Joined by Central Indiana VYPE Foundation board members and sponsors, every golfer will have a chance to share in the highlights of their school year while also having an opportunity to win the use of a Dodge Viper with a hole-in-one from the Tom O’Brien Automotive Family.

Following the golf outing, participants will gather for dinner in the Broadmoor Ballroom emceed by WTHR's Bruce Kopp. Each representative will be presented with a donation check by foundation board members for their school's athletic department. VYPE Foundation board members include Allison Melangton, President and C.E.O. of the Indiana Sports Corporation; Inside INdiana Business host, Gerry Dick; and former Indiana High School Athletic Association Commissioner, Blake Ress.

“We are really looking forward to the second annual golf outing. Over the course of a year, we've seen a tremendous increase in interest and participation,” said Phil Temple, CEO and Publisher of VYPE Magazine (Central Indiana). “It will be fantastic to witness the culmination of our efforts to contribute funding back to the area's local high school athletic departments. We are excited to continue this tradition through our foundation, and we are incredibly grateful to our magazine sponsors that make this all possible!”
