Princeton, Ind. — Toyota Indiana will hire another 60 production team members by the end of June as it prepares to increase volume to meet demand for the all-new 2014 Highlander and Highlander Hybrid models.
Sales for Highlander, which is now exported to the Russian and Australian regions, were up 28 percent over April 2013.
Aerotek, the agency that manages variable workforce for Toyota Indiana, is seeking applicants for manufacturing positions at the plant. Interested people may apply online at www.aerotekin.com.
Two Toyota Indiana team members have been promoted to positions of manager and assistant general manager. They are:
Gary Roy, Boonville, Ind., manager, West Assembly.
Craig Kelle, Newburgh, Ind., assistant general manager, Assembly Conveyance, Assembly Engineering Support Services and Pilot.
“These promotions speak volumes about the development of our entire team,” said Leah Curry, vice president of Manufacturing, Toyota Indiana. “It's very encouraging to know that our team members are always taking steps to continuously improve the strength of our company. I know that Craig and Gary will be successful in their new roles.”
