Cities to Mark Workers Memorial Day
Ceremonies will take place Monday to honor workers killed on the job in 2013. The Indiana AFL-CIO says events in Lafayette, South Bend, Bloomington and on the Statehouse grounds will be part of Workers Memorial Day.

INDIANAPOLIS – Working families from around Indiana will gather MONDAY MORNING to honor the memories of 203 workers who were killed on the job in 2013 as a part of Workers Memorial Day, a national day of remembrance for fallen workers.
The annual ceremony will be held MONDAY, APRIL 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. on the grounds of the INDIANA STATEHOUSE in INDIANAPOLIS and includes workers’ family members, remarks from state and local community, labor and elected officials and a reading of the names of the deceased. Similar ceremonies are also being held in Bloomington, Lafayette and South Bend. WHAT: Workers’ Memorial Day State Ceremony
