WHITESTOWN, Ind. - Amazon is actively hiring for more than 100 full-time positions with benefits starting on day one at its fulfillment center in Whitestown, Ind. Amazon is hiring in order to meet growing customer demand.

"Whitestown is very fortunate to have Amazon as one of its major employers," said Whitestown Town Manager Dax Norton. "The announcement of more than 100 new full-time positions with comprehensive benefits is good economic news for Whitestown and Boone County. This will continue to strengthen the ability of our families and businesses to thrive and prosper."

The Whitestown facility first opened in August 2008, when it shipped its first customer order, a Pet Nail Trimmer, to a customer in California. Since that time, the Amazon fulfillment center has created more than 1,500 full-time jobs.

The hourly positions will pick, pack and ship customer orders. In addition to competitive wages, employees are immediately eligible for comprehensive benefits that include health insurance, 401(k) with 50 percent match, bonuses, company stock awards and a network of support to ensure employees succeed.
