April 17, 2014

News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — Gloria Feldt one of Vanity Fair's “Top 200 Women Leaders Legends, Trailblazers” and Co-Founder and President of Take the Lead, will be a keynote speaker at the 5th annual IWL Women's Leadership Conference. Integrating Woman Leaders, Inc. (IWL) will deliver an inspirational power team for this year's conference, including keynotes Karen Hough, an innovative entrepreneur and bestselling author of “Improvisation Edge: Secrets to Building Trust and Radical Collaboration at Work;” and Jenny Wolfgram, Vice President of Commercial Education at Roche Diagnostics Corporation and advisory board member of their Women's Leadership Initiative.

“IWL has really grown its national presence this year,” explained Jennifer Browning Holmes, President & CEO of IWL. “We're excited to host such accomplished and impressive speakers throughout the day, each bringing something unique to our conference theme: Passion, Purpose and The Will to Lead. They will keep the day flowing with high energy and leave our attendees with lessons that will impact their careers and their organizations.”

The keynote speakers were hand-selected to share their experience and expertise on topics including learning to negotiate, finding mentors and building a personal brand. Jenny will set the tone for the conference by sharing her personal story of a career journey built on taking career risks that paid off.

With the lunch keynote, Karen Hough, CEO and Founder of ImprovEdge, will deliver a highly interactive session on developing executive presence for impact and influence. She'll share improvisational secrets that radically improve leadership capabilities and agility for her clients such as ESPN, Coach and Nationwide. She will continue the momentum with an afternoon breakout session on negotiation – women's pitfalls and advantages.

Gloria Feldt, bestselling author and one of Glamour Magazine's “Women of the Year,” will close the day with heart and humor as she delivers practical “power tools” for life and encourages women to remove the last remaining obstacle to achieving parity: women's learned resistance to embracing their own power.

In prior years, attendees have benefitted from the expertise of such leaders as Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman, Marcia Barnes, former President & CEO of DEFENDER Direct, Ann Murtlow, President & CEO of United Way of Central Indiana, Angela Braly, former President & CEO of WellPoint, Inc., and Congresswoman Susan Brooks. A full agenda and list of 2014 conference speakers will be announced in coming weeks.

Held at the Indianapolis Marriott East, the conference takes place on Wednesday, Aug. 27. Early bird registration opens May 1 followed by general registration on June 1. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET. For more information visit the IWL website at www.integratingwomanleaders.com/2014-conference.
