Florida-based i9 Sports Corp. is planning to open locations in Avon and Carmel. The youth sports league franchise says the move will create up to 40 jobs.

April 15, 2014

News Release

Riverview, Florida — i9 Sports, the nation's fastest growing youth sports league franchise is headed to Indianapolis, opening up two company-owned locations under its 2014 expansion initiative. The new locations are slated for Avon and Carmel. i9 Sports offers leagues, camps, and clinics for boys and girls ages 3-14 in today’s most popular team sports such as flag football, soccer, basketball and baseball.

The staff at i9 Sports believes that there isn't a better tool to teach a child the skills necessary to succeed in life than sports. “Self-discipline, determination, teamwork, and good sportsmanship are only a handful of the many valuable life skills learned through sports participation,” said Brian Sanders, President and Chief Operating Officer. “i9 Sports offers an alternative to the hyper-competitive, win-at-all-cost culture that pervades most youth sports programs today. Through the i9 Sports Experience, we offer customers an experience that focuses on fun, safety, and convenience as well as the opportunity to learn the value of good sportsmanship.”

The i9 Sports Experience emphasizes fun, safety and convenience as well as teaching the value of good sportsmanship.

The first step in expanding into the Indianapolis market is the hiring of two program managers. In the fall, i9 Sports will be hiring 30-40 additional people to operate the leagues in the area.

“Our program managers are the heart of our organization,” said Sanders. “In this full-time role, program managers are involved with everything related to i9 Sports in the local market including community relations, marketing and the sourcing of all key personnel, such as site managers, instructors, officials, coaches and support staff.”

Successful program managers make an impact in the community by building relationships with area businesses, schools and community groups. i9 Sports program managers work independently with a flexible work schedule while leading a team dedicated to providing the area with an innovative fun program for kids.
