A Hancock County site has been deemed “shovel ready.” The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced the designation for the Hancock County Energy Park site Monday in Greenfield.

News Release

Greenfield, Ind. — Indiana Shovel Ready (ISR) exists to certify development sites that are ready for private investment and market them to companies. The Energy Park site at 300 North and 400 West in Hancock County has met the requirements to be admitted into the program. Officials from the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA), co-administrators of the program, will present members of the Hancock Economic Development Council with a certificate officially accepting the site into ISR.

Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann oversees the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA). OCRA's mission is to promote community prosperity to strengthen Indiana's economy by providing capacity-building solutions to assure ready, marketable, and competitive communities for economic growth.
