News Release

Indianapolis, IN – Junior Achievement of Central Indiana announced today that it has been awarded a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. in the amount of $300,000. The grant will support the expansion of JA’s Pre-K through 12th grade classroom-based programs, as well as its well-known and respected JA BizTown program for 5th graders.

“Junior Achievement of Central Indiana is making a real difference in the lives and futures of our youth. JA's commitment to educating young people in the critical areas of financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness skills is helping to prepare the next generation to be successful, both personally and professionally,” said N. Clay Robbins, Lilly Endowment's president and CEO.

“The Lilly Endowment’s affirmation of Junior Achievement’s important role in preparing our future workforce drives us to work even harder to expand our programs. We are grateful for the Endowment’s support, which will allow us to reach more students in preschool through high school, including many underserved students in IPS and charter schools,” said Jennifer Burk, Junior Achievement’s president and CEO.
