Students and alumni from nine colleges and universities are expected to attend this month's Northeast Indiana Career Enrichment Job Fair. The event at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne will also include a session on labor and employment law.

Fort Wayne, Ind. — For over 20 years the the Northeast Indiana Career Enrichment (NICE) Job Fair has connected students and employers. The largest career fair in northeast Indiana is coming to Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Tuesday, April 15, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the IPFW Field House, Gates Athletics Center.

Businesses will have exposure to current students and alumni from nine different colleges and universities including IPFW, Grace College, Huntington University, Ivy Tech Community College–Northeast, Indiana Tech, Manchester University, Trine University, Indiana Wesleyan University, and University of Saint Francis.

The NICE Job Fair committee also has a free workshop available to employers who register, which will take place before the job fair. Mark S. Kittaka's presentation, “Hot Topics in Labor and Employment Law,” will cover an array of subjects, including unpaid interns. Following Kittaka's lecture, Janet Boston and Amanda Stanley from IndianaINTERNnet will discuss information about the “Earn Program.”

• Professional dress is required.

• Meet with an IPFW Career Services representative to refine your r?sum? and interview skills during our job fair prep sessions

• Research the organizations

• Watch our “Career Fair Success Video” from CareerSpots on our website

IPFW students and alumni can visit JobZone to see a list of employers at the IPFW JobZone website or at the NICE Career Fair website. Job Fair prep sessions will take place April 14 in Career Services, Kettler Hall, Room 109, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
