A large recreational facility in Fort Wayne has a new naming rights deal. The complex owned by Canada-based Canlan Ice Sports Corp. will now be called the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse. Lutheran Health Network previously held naming rights. March 28, 2014

News Release

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Ortho NorthEast (ONE), Parkview Health and Canlan Ice Sports Corp. have reached an agreement regarding the naming rights of Canlan's ice sports complex. The facility, owned and operated by Canada-based Canlan Ice Sports Corp., will be named the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse. The facility at 3869 Ice Way is adjacent to the SportONE/Parkview Fieldhouse.

“The facility is designed to host a number of activities that promote health and well-being. Parkview and ONE are committed to supporting competitive and recreational sports as a way for members of our community to stay active,” said Julie Fleck, COO, Parkview Ortho Hospital.

“The facility has been in our community for nearly four years and we have seen the positive impact it has had during that time,” said Alan McGee, M.D., Ortho Northeast. “It's also played an important role in driving our local economy, helping to attract dollars through hosting tournaments and other activities. It is a good fit for ONE and Parkview to step in and help to support the facility when the opportunity recently became available.”

“We're excited about our new partnership with Parkview and ONE,” said Shari Lichterman, Vice President, Eastern Operations with Canlan Ice Sports. “This agreement provides the support from a strong community partner and ensures that our successful facility will continue to benefit the Fort Wayne and surrounding area.”

The SportONE/Parkview Icehouse offers skating and hockey programming for all ages and experience, public programs, birthday parties, Bounce Mania inflatable bounce area, roller hockey and a full service restaurant and banquet center. For more information, please visit www.icesports.com/fortwayne.
