Indianapolis-based Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has announced a new Strategic Advisory Services team. Former Indiana University Health Chief Operating Office Sam Odle and former Indianapolis Mayor Bill Hudnut will serve as senior-level advisors. March 24, 2014

News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bose Public Affairs Group LLC announced today the creation of a new team focused on advisory services for businesses. The government relations and strategic communications firm is launching its Strategic Advisory Services group to consult with businesses, industry sectors and units of government on their most challenging issues.

“The creation of our Strategic Advisory Services team has been a long time coming, based on years of planning and assembling the right team members,” said Douglas Brown, managing principal, Bose Public Affairs Group. “By bringing together the best minds in their fields, at the point in their careers when they are at the very top of their games, we can help our strategic advisory clients formulate and successfully execute their most ambitious and challenging public policy strategies.”

The new team helps guide clients by planning for, effecting and building their business models around changes in public policy; engaging stakeholders in building coalitions; maximizing effective public-private partnerships; leveraging opportunities for business-to-business procurement; and developing strategies for issues and reputation management.

“Success in business is not guaranteed by relationships alone. But, with our years of experience and the ability to maximize our relationships, we can help clients be more successful, no matter what industry or issue they are facing,” said Samuel Odle, senior policy advisor with the Strategic Advisory Services team.

A veteran healthcare industry executive, Odle joined Bose Public Affairs Group in 2013 after retiring as the chief operating officer of Indianapolis-based IU Health in addition to his previous position of CEO of both Methodist Hospital and University Hospital.

In addition to Odle, other senior-level advisors include the following:

Former four term Indianapolis Mayor William Hudnut, who brings 20 years of public service as an elected official at the local and federal level, and is a national leader in economic development and urban revitalization;

Daniel Seitz, Bose Public Affairs Group’s former managing principal, who for more than 25 years, has been instrumental in the evolution of Indiana’s insurance regulations;

John Whitaker, the most recent addition to Bose Public Affairs Group, who previously served Citizens Energy Group for 25 years, including as senior vice president and chief legal and compliance officer;

Andrew Miller, Bose Public Affairs Group’s senior vice president for operations, who brings to the firm’s strategic advisory clients in-depth expertise in state and local government relations, with a focus on strategic planning, stakeholder development and political action committee management.

Bose Public Affairs Group is a full service public affairs and strategic communications firm with offices in Indianapolis, Ind., Fort Wayne, Ind. and Washington, D.C. The veteran team of professionals at Bose Public Affairs Group excels at affecting the decisions made at every level of the public sector and across a wide spectrum of private industry through its services in local, state and federal government relations, strategic communications, strategic advisory services and procurement.
