A group that wants to revitalize the iconic Wigwam in Anderson is turning to crowdfunding to support its efforts. Wigwam Sports and Entertainment LLC hopes to use the venue to attract a National Basketball Association Developmental League team and other events. Anderson, Ind. — Wigwam Sports and Entertainment, LLC a future provider of sporting, entertainment, convention, and trade show events announces the opportunity for everyone to become involved in the effort to “Revitalize The Wigwam,” the historic sports and entertainment venue in Anderson, Indiana.

To help contribute in the revitalization of the Wigwam to its former glory, and ensure that it remains a vital part of Central Indiana heritage and a source of future economic development is a simple, easy, and rewarding process. There are four levels to select from, with each level rewarding the contributor. It is that easy!!

The recent endorsement from the Blue Ribbon Committee, created by Anderson’s Mayor Kevin Smith, moves the vision closer to completion. “Members of the Blue Ribbon Committee have reviewed the plan to bring The Wigwam back to life and are encouraged by the plans potential”, said Thomas J. Snyder, President of Ivy Tech Community College, the committee chairperson, and a lifelong resident of Anderson. The economic development for the city and the region from this plan will occur by means of a variety of sporting, entertainment, convention, and trade show events in this iconic venue.

“The success of the revitalization of The Wigwam rests upon the collaboration of the Anderson Community School Corporation, the City of Anderson, our investment group and the citizens of Anderson and East Central Indiana. A potential WIN, WIN, WIN for everyone involved, especially for the citizens of Anderson and East Central Indiana”, stated Terry Thimlar, President of Wigwam Sports and Entertainment.
