Subscribe NowA business owner and assistant dean at IUPUI has announced an expansion of what she calls the only coworking space in the state with a focus on women. Studio B owner NaShara Mitchell says high demand has led to the need for a larger space in Indianapolis. She is launching a crowdfunding and awareness campaign to coincide with the facility's grand re-opening. Mitchell and KA+A Community Manager Janneane Blevins discussed the importance of networking and mentorship programs on Inside INdiana Business Television as part of our focus on women entrepreneurs throughout the state. Studio B was established in 2012. The space's grand re-opening is set for March 22.
Mitchell founded Ready to Blush more than ten years ago. The company offers beauty, wellness and personal development services for women. She also helped from the BLAB program, which uses the fashion industry to promote women's interest in science, technology, engineering and math.
In addition to her position at KA+A, Blevin works with Gravity Ventures, a seed capital fund focused on early-stage tech businesses. She also co-founded the urban magazine IndySpectator.
