The Herald Times reports the plan includes laying off 17 employees. The paper reports most of the cuts were support and administrative positions. One nursing job has also been eliminated.
Chief Executive Officer Joe Roche says the moves put the hospital on “more solid financial footing.” He says the cuts are difficult, especially because some of the people involved have been with the hospital since it opened nearly eight years ago.
