A technology career and internship fair is set for next month in Bloomington. The Bloomington Technology Partnership says it will coincide with other events in the city throughout the week, including a tech and startup conference. March 13, 2014

News Release

Bloomington, IN (March 13, 2014) – The Bloomington Technology Partnership (BTP), a collaboration between the City of Bloomington, Indiana University and Bloomington Economic Development Corporation to foster the growth of Bloomington’s emerging high-tech economy, will host a free career and internship fair with Bloomington and Monroe County employers seeking to hire employees or interns in technology-related areas.

The career and internship fair, organized with assistance from IU School of Informatics and Computing, is open to the public and will be held on April 8th, 2014 at the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention Center at 302 S College Avenue in Bloomington from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Light snacks and beverages will be provided to attendees.

“Our previous career fairs have been very successful, and the Bloomington area’s tech sector saw significant growth in 2013,” said Katie Birge, director of the Bloomington Technology Partnership. “This is an opportunity for local tech employers to find the talent they need for their growing companies, and we welcome out-of-town job seekers to learn what the Bloomington area has to offer.”

The career and internship fair will coincide with several other technology events in Bloomington that week, including The Combine, an annual 3-day tech and startup conference.
