Indiana University Health has named Camie Patterson chief operating officer of its LaPorte and Starke hospitals. She most recently served in a similar role at Self Regional Healthcare in South Carolina.

LaPorte, Ind. — Indiana University Health La Porte and Starke hospitals welcome Camie Patterson as the new Chief Operating Officer.

Patterson brings an experienced and dedicated career as a Senior Healthcare Executive to IU Health with successes in finance and focus on process improvement. Previously, she worked at Self Regional Healthcare in South Carolina for nearly a decade, most recently serving as the COO.

Prior, she worked as the Controller before moving into the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer roles. In addition, she worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 12 years.

Patterson received her Master in Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the State University of New York.

She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Patterson has numerous volunteer experience on various boards, including: March of Dimes, chamber of commerce, rotary club, arts council as well as Medicaid and reimbursement task force among her many positions.

A native of Indiana, Patterson and her husband, Andrew, along with their five children, are looking forward to becoming involved in the community.
