Sony DADC Announces Cuts in Terre Haute
Sony DADC is planning to end distribution operations at its facility in Terre Haute. The Tribune-Star reports the move could affect around three dozen workers. In 2012, the company closed a distribution facility in Fishers that employed 250. Sony DADC is planning to consolidate the work from the Vigo County facility into an Illinois operation.
A company spokeswoman told the publication the last day for the affected workers will be June 1.
The move is not expected to impact the remaining manufacturing operations in Terre Haute, which employ around 1,400.
