News Release

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI (Feb. 27, 2014) — More than 10,000 work truck fleet managers, distributors, manufacturers and service providers will converge on Indianapolis next week for The Work Truck Show 2014. North America’s largest work truck event will feature more than 60 educational sessions and 500,000 square feet of the newest vocational trucks, vans and equipment.

Produced annually by NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry, The Work Truck Show runs March 5–7 at the Indiana Convention Center. Educational programming, including the Green Truck Summit, begins March 4. The event includes the 50th Annual NTEA Convention.

“Our 50th year is a milestone, but The Work Truck Show 2014 is all about the future,” says Mark Woody, NTEA 2014 Convention chairman and president of Palfinger North America (Niagara Falls, ON, Canada). “For the Show and beyond, there is a real focus on new technology, equipment and ways of thinking that are necessary for industry professionals to thrive.”

Work trucks are used every day by government agencies and private companies for construction, utility, delivery, landscaping and agricultural duties. The trucks, products and technology that will be used in these industries in coming years will debut at The Work Truck Show 2014, making it a can’t-miss event for anyone attempting to gain an edge on the competition. Major manufacturers including Ford Commercial Truck, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America and Ram Commercial will use the event to launch new products and partnerships.

Work Truck Show attendees can get behind the wheel of 22 sustainable technology vehicles during the Green Truck Ride-and-Drive. The environmentally sustainable trucks, shuttle buses and vans are available for test-drives on city streets and in a new closed-access course, allowing participants to try out a variety of alternative fuel and hybrid systems in one place.
