The Indiana House Ways and Means Committee has approved an amended version of a bill to allow for the Capital Improvement Board in Indianapolis to use up to $2 million to support a new soccer stadium. The $87 million venue is being proposed by Indy Eleven Professional Soccer Owner Ersal Ozdemir. If approved by both chambers of the General Assembly, it would be used by the team and for other purposes including concerts and NCAA events.

The amendment is included in Senate Bill 308, which now heads to the full house, and was initially designed to deal with Allen County sports and convention development areas.
