The Bloomington Economic Development Corp. has named Lynn Coyne interim president. He previously served as the organization's board chair and recently retired as associate counsel at Indiana University.

Bloomington, Ind. — The Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) recently announced that Lynn Coyne has been named Interim President to succeed Ron Walker, who resigned to take a position with CFC Properties.

Mr. Coyne has a long history of involvement in economic development in the Bloomington community and has served as past chair of the BEDC board. He recently retired as Assistant Vice President and Associate Counsel at Indiana University. He is also Of Counsel at the law firm of Bunger and Robertson and an Adjunct Instructor at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

“The Bloomington Economic Development Corporation is a very strong organization that is vital to the economic well-being of our community. It has an experienced, skilled staff with a history of success and I look forward to moving BEDC plans forward until a new president is found,” Mr. Coyne stated.

The BEDC will assemble a Search Committee to accept and review applications from interested candidates. Additional information will be posted at www.comparebloomington.us as it becomes available.
