Muncie, Ind. – Lori Luther, Chair of the Energize-ECI, Inc. Board of Directors, announced the hiring of Dennis Maloy as the new President/CEO of Energize-ECI, Inc., the regional economic development partnership representing Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Grant, Henry, Jay, Madison, Randolph and Rush counties.
“Mr. Maloy's expertise and experience in economic and workforce development, employee training, not-for-profit management and involvement in regional organizations are an ideal fit to lead Energize-ECI, Inc.,” advised Ms. Luther.
Maloy comes to Energize-ECI, Inc. from Ivy Tech Corporate College in Bloomington, where he served as Executive Director since 2012. In that position, Maloy directed a team which identified and delivered workforce training solutions to a regional client base. From 2004 – 2012, he served as Executive Director of Hancock Economic Development Council. Maloy holds a BA degree (with honors) in Political Science from Indiana University, is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute – University of Oklahoma, and the Indiana Economic Development Academy – Ball State University.
He is a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association and International Economic Development Council. Maloy stated, “I appreciate the strong foundation of regionalism which has been established in East Central Indiana during the past decade and I look forward to working with the Energize-ECI, Inc., board of directors, investors, local economic development officials, business executives, school, universities and workforce training organizations in collaborating to bring new jobs and capital investment to the region, provide a well-trained workforce, and to help our communities improve their quality of place.” He began his new position as President/CEO of Energize-ECI, Inc. on February 18th.
