INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Governor Mike Pence today issued the below statement following the passing of Dr. John Horner, former president of Hanover College.

“We were saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. John Horner, who served as president of Hanover College from 1958 to 1987. Dr. Horner's leadership was marked by three decades of growth in academic programs, financial stability and student enrollment. His contributions to Hanover College are incalculable and leave a legacy of excellence in higher education that will benefit our state for generations to come.

“On a personal note, I will always be grateful for the opportunity that Dr. Horner gave me to work for Hanover College upon my graduation in 1981.
