The tallest building in South Bend is scheduled to hit the auction block next month. The 25-story Chase Tower will be sold at a St. Joseph County Sheriff's sale March 20. The South Bend Tribune reports the property has been in receivership since late-2011. Owner Dillingham Hill Real Estate LLC had fallen behind on it mortgage.

The publication also notes New York-based Washington Square Realty purchased the bank note in 2013 and plans to use next month's sale as a way to obtain a lien-free title on the property.
