The city of Indianapolis is among finalists for a readers' choice award from a national publication. It is included in USA Today Travel's list of Best Convention Cities. The cities were narrowed down based on criteria including the convention center itself, city offerings, proximity of hotels and restaurants as well as travel convenience and costs.

Other nearby cities in the running include Minneapolis, Chicago and Nashville, Tennessee.
