Indiana University Health has scheduled several informational sessions in northern Indiana involving the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace. The events will take place through the end of next month at IU Health La Porte and Starke hospitals. February 10, 2014

News Release

LA PORTE, Ind. – Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital, will host free community events to discuss the impact of the Affordable Care Act and the Health Insurance Marketplace on Hoosiers. As you probably have heard, you may be eligible to buy affordable insurance on the new Health Insurance Marketplace, sometimes called the Health Insurance Exchange. In 2014, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires you to have health insurance. The law also provides financial assistance to those who qualify based on family size and income. For example, an individual earning up to $45,900 a year, or a family of four earning

up to $94,200 a year, will qualify for a reduction to their monthly premiums, or a tax credit at the end of the year. Once you apply at the Marketplace, you will find out the exact price of the plans available to you and how much your tax credit will be worth.

We're here to help you learn about the law and what options are available to you and your family. If you have questions about the new Health Insurance Marketplace plan to attend anytime during the times listed below.
