Two Indianapolis companies are in the thick of Super Bowl events in New York and New Jersey. MainGate Inc. has about 300 people in the area running retail merchandise efforts, while Sport Graphics is handling the decor for the National Football League. Both companies say the event is a “great resume builder” as they look for new business. Sport Graphics Vice President Kevin Hancock and MainGate Chief Strategy and Sales Officer Terry Angstadt talked about their company's high-profile activities surrounding the game during an interview for this weekend's Inside INdiana Business Television. Sport Graphics began its work with the NFL by producing one sign for the league's combine. Hancock says the partnership “steamrolled from there.” The company is now working its fifth Super Bowl.

MainGate has NFL experience as well. The company worked the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis and has deal in place with six NFL teams.

Both Hancock and Angstadt say, although they may be biased, they believe the Indianapolis Super Bowl was a better effort. Angstadt says, with so much going on already in New York, the game feels like “not such a big deal.”
