Good Samaritan Hospital Names VP

Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes has named Matt Schuckman vice president of operations. He has been with the hospital for 16 years, most recently as vice president of physician services.

Vincennes, Ind. -- Good Samaritan Hospital is pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Schuckman, MBA to Vice President of Operations. Schuckman has been employed by Good Samaritan Hospital for 16 years. He started at the hospital in 1997 as Physician Practice Management Coordinator and in 2001 he was promoted to Director of Physician Services. In 2002 he was promoted to the Vice President of Physician Services and in December 2013 he was promoted to his current position as the Vice President of Operations.

Rob McLin, President and CEO of Good Samaritan Hospital, said Schuckman has been an important member of the Good Samaritan Hospital team for years and shows great promise. "It is exciting to promote Matt to his new role where he will learn more about the hospital side of our organization," he commented. "He helped to grow Physician Services from a handful of physicians to an organization exceeding 250 full time employees. Giving him a new role with new responsibilities on the general hospital side will benefit Good Samaritan Hospital and his career. I know he is up to the task and I am pleased with his willingness to take on new challenges."

Schuckman said Good Samaritan Hospital is the best place to work and he feels fortunate to be a part of this great organization. Schuckman earned his bachelor's degree in Accounting from Indiana University School of Business. He recently completed his Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care from Indiana Wesleyan University. He oversees multiple departments such as: Oncology, Endoscopy, Laboratory, Physical Medicine, Environmental Services, Security, Physician Recruitment, Business Development and Physician Contracting.

Schuckman is a lifelong Knox County resident and graduate of South Knox High School. He and his wife, Kristi, have three children, Zach, a sophomore at Vincennes University, Madison, a Senior at Lincoln, and Tate, an eighth grader at Clark. ###
