Visit Indy will discuss details Wednesday of an economic impact study that shows the city draws 26 million visitors annually, generating $4.4 billion in economic impact. At its annual meeting, the organization will also outline its first Tourism Master Plan. Visit Indy says its master plan will provide a “comprehensive tourism roadmap” leading to 2020 and beyond. The group says the strategy includes another possible expansion of the Indiana Convention Center and the potential need for more hotels.

Former Indianapolis mayor and U.S. Senator Richard Lugar will also be on-hand to receive a leadership award.

The event is set for Wednesday, January 22 from 3:30 p.m.-4:45 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center's Sagamore Ballroom.
