News Release

SEYMOUR, Ind. – Both directions of Interstate 65 have reopened south of U.S. 31 (Exit 76) at Edinburgh and Taylorsville, but some counties along the corridor have declared travel watches or warnings advising essential or emergency travel, respectively. Drivers should reduce their speed according to conditions and anticipate delays and lane closures. For updated travel advisories reported by county authorities, visit www.in.gov/dhs/traveladvisory.

INDOT and Indiana State Police districts in southern Indiana closed portions of I-65 after 9 a.m. this morning due to crashes and low visibility. Strong winds resulted in blowing snow, reduced visibility and colder temperatures.
