The Noblesville Chamber of Commerce is searching for its next president. Sharon McMahon is planning to retire at the end of next month after more than a dozen years on the job. A search committee is being formed by Chairman John Paris, who calls McMahon the “heart and soul” of the organization. January 14, 2014

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – The Noblesville Chamber of Commerce president, Sharon McMahon, announced her retirement effective February 28, 2014. McMahon has been Chamber president for 13 years and was formerly the president of the Fishers Chamber of Commerce. McMahon has been active in non-profit executive management for 30 years, with 20 of those as a Chamber management professional. As a graduate of the Institute for Organization Management at Notre Dame and Duke University's Nonprofit Management Program, as well as the Hamilton County Leadership Academy and Ball State University's EDC and Training Consultant Institute, McMahon has served both the Fishers Chamber of Commerce and the Noblesville Chamber as director of those organizations.

“I feel very privileged to have served the business community in Noblesville for the past 13 years,” stated McMahon, “and I am looking forward to spending more time with family, friends, volunteer activities and projects in the near future. The Chamber's board of directors and staff will continue to provide excellent leadership for our many Chamber business members from Noblesville and throughout Hamilton County. The Noblesville Chamber has served our community since 1935 will continue to be the voice of business in Noblesville.”

“Sharon McMahon has announced her intention to retire as President of the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, effective February 28,2014. It is with truly mixed emotion that we have received this news,” said Dr. John Paris, Vice President, Riverview Hospital, and the Chairman of the Board of the Noblesville Chamber.

“We know Sharon has dedicated herself and her time to the Chamber for many years. Not only has she been the face of the Chamber, she has been its heart and soul. Because of her dedication and many accomplishments, we regret her leaving. Because we know her dedication to her family and the joy she derives from her many outside activities, we celebrate her opportunity to embark on this next leg of her journey and we thank Sharon for all she has done for us individually and corporately, and we wish her the best,” he said.

“The position of President of the Noblesville Chamber will be posted on the Indiana Chamber Executives Association (ICEA) website and a search committee will be named by Chairman John Paris,” stated McMahon.
