INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Seven months after opening, Indiana City Brewing Company is stepping up distribution to local bars, placing it in the hands of Cavalier Distributing - Indiana's premier craft beer distributor. As popularity for Indiana City beer has grown, kegs that were sold and delivered by the brewery owner directly to local bars will now be distributed by the only truly independent beer distributor in Indiana with a portfolio of high-end craft beer and international world-class beers.

"We are proud to be part of Cavalier's portfolio," says Ray Kamstra, Owner and Brewmaster at Indiana City Brewing. "This allows us to focus on what we do best - making quality, handcrafted beer - while Cavalier gets our kegs of beer out around Indy in the most reliable way possible."

Keeping with its focus of brewing beer for the craft beer lovers of Indy, Indiana City beer will continue to be exclusively available to bars and restaurants within the city of Indianapolis.

Indiana City Brewing Company opened last May at 24 Shelby Street in the 'Bottling House' for the pre-prohibition era Home Brewing Company on the East edge of downtown Indy. The Home Brewing Company brewed German style beer for almost thirty years before they closed in 1918. "We're proud to bring beer back to this historic building," says Kamstra.

Indiana City showcases local artists and musicians during seasonal beer release parties and monthly First Fridays art exhibitions at the brewery. This winter, the brewery will release a select series of barrel-aged beers, including an Oatmeal Stout, Breakfast Stout and Imperial Amber Ale all aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels.
