Company Sees More Super Bowl SuccessPosted: Updated:
A Lebanon-based company that participated in the National Football League's emerging business program in Indianapolis in 2011 is set to take part in its third Super Bowl. ATEC Electrical Contractors will work with a vendor to provide phone systems for hotels and venues involved with the game, which is being hosted this year by New York and New Jersey. Owner Shane Conner says the program has helped the company land other business as well, including a multi-million dollar contract with Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis. The NFL's emerging business program took place in Indianapolis in 2011 as the city was preparing to host the 2012 Super Bowl. It included networking opportunities with business owners and entrepreneurs as well as presentations on topics including marketing, social media and politics in business.
Connor says the program's intense interviewing process helped prepare him for the rigors of being a Super Bowl contractor. He says a vendor he met through the program hired the company to work at the Indianapolis and New Orleans Super Bowls.
ATEC provides services including electrical and telecommunications sales and support as well as sustainable energy consulting and installation.
