CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health – Crawfordsville celebrated its new MRI suite with a community open house Thursday, Dec. 5. The MRI suite is located in the radiology department at the hospital, 1710 Lafayette Road in Crawfordsville.
Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health – Crawfordsville purchased the new MRI – the Optima MR450w 1.5T MR system with GEM Suite coil technology from GE Healthcare. The MRI delivered around Oct. 22, 2013 with installation following.
The new MRI system is designed to help maximize comfort for patients with:
-A wider patient area to add space around you
-A table surface designed to alleviate pressure points
-A coil system that enables feet-first imaging for all exams
-Uncompromised imaging capability for area physicians.
In addition, the MRI suite is equipped with Caring MR Suite technology, which allows for patient iPad control and is pre-programmed with musical themes, the ability to dock the patient's iPhone or iPad and have custom selections, as well as different ceiling images and color LED lighting.
