WHAT: Ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference, apartment tour and interviews with key stakeholders of the new Illinois Place (on former Winona hospital property).

DETAILS: A sleek, modern and affordable housing complex officially opens in the Mid-North neighborhood, replacing the hazardous, dangerous eyesore that was the abandoned Winona Hospital site.
This two-building, 50-unit complex with landscaped green space is the result
of a public-private partnership between The City of Indianapolis and TRex Enterprises, LLC, with financial support from state and federal grants.
