The NCAA has unveiled the logo for the 2015 Men's Final Four in Indianapolis. The event marks the seventh time the city has hosted the event.

December 13, 2013

News Release

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Indianapolis Local Organizing Committee and the NCAA held a press conference Friday to unveil the logo for the 2015 Men's Final Four, which will be played April 4 and 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The event will be hosted by the Horizon League and IUPUI.

This will be the seventh Final Four played in Indianapolis, tying with New York City for the second-most in tournament history. Kansas City has hosted the event 10 times. Three different arenas have served as the competition venue for the Final Four in Indianapolis, with Market Square Arena hosting in 1980 and the RCA Dome hosting in 1991, 1997, 2000 and 2006. Lucas Oil Stadium first hosted the national championship in 2010.

The 2015 Final Four will mark the 22nd time since 1940 that the men's basketball championship has come to Indianapolis, and the 35th time that the Hoosier State has hosted the tournament. Bloomington, Evansville, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Terre Haute and West Lafayette have also hosted preliminary rounds of the championship. In addition to the 2010 Final Four, Lucas Oil Stadium served as host of regional competition in 2009 and 2013, and will do so again in March.

“The 2015 Final Four will mark 75 years since Indianapolis first hosted the tournament,” said Dan Gavitt, the NCAA’s vice president of men’s basketball. “We couldn't be more excited to host the event with our neighbors from IUPUI, the Horizon League and the local organizing committee, whose excellence in staging major events is the biggest reason why Indianapolis is a favorite destination for participating teams, fans and the media.”

“It's an exciting day as we begin the Road to the 2015 Men's Final Four,” said Allison Melangton, Indiana Sports Corp President. “Today’s logo unveiling is just the first step as our community – powered by great partners and volunteers – will produce a true championship celebration. On behalf of our community, we look forward to working alongside our friends at the NCAA to create the best Final Four in the event’s storied history.”

Fans hoping for a chance to receive tickets to the 2015 Men’s Final Four can apply for the NCAA’s random selection process between March 17 and May 31, 2014. Visit www.NCAA.com for more details.

Tickets to the 2014 Midwest Regional, which takes place March 28 and 30, can be purchased by visiting www.NCAA.com/mbbtickets.
