Ivy Tech Community College has named Thomas Kilian executive director of development for the central Indiana region. He previously served in a similar role for Ivy Tech in South Bend. December 12, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Ivy Tech Community College announced it has selected Thomas Kilian for the position of executive director of development for the Central Indiana region, which serves more than 30,000 students within Indianapolis and the greater Central Indiana community.

Prior to this appointment, Kilian was serving as executive director of development for the South Bend region. He has been with the College since January 2012.

“Thomas brings valuable experience to this position and is a great asset to Ivy Tech,” said Ivy Tech Chancellor Kathleen Lee. “We are pleased to have him join our team at the Central Indiana region.”

Kilian has seven years of experience in higher education. Prior to joining Ivy Tech, he served as director of development for Bowling Green State University. He also held positions at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Indiana State University and Saint John's University.

Kilian earned his Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Indiana State University. He went on to earn his Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Indiana University.

Ivy Tech Community College is the state's largest public postsecondary institution and the nation's largest singly accredited statewide community college system serving nearly 200,000 students annually. Ivy Tech has campuses throughout Indiana. It serves as the state's engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its communities. In addition, its courses and programs transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.
