Launch Fishers Founder John Wechsler believes a space being developed for graduating companies is the next step in boosting an ecosystem to help startups flourish in central Indiana. Wechsler discussed the success of Launch Fishers during a Studio(i) interview with Gerry Dick. Wechsler says the effort has more than 260 members and has played a key role in helping larger employers, including First Advantage, expand in the Hamilton County community.
He says one Blue Bridge Digital has become the first company to use the ecosystem to successfully move into its own space.
Wechsler says a focus on the “softer side of things” has helped the incubator reach its first year goals. That includes easy access to get started.
The concept has attracted interest from other areas of the state. Groups from Terre Haute, Bloomington and Lafayette are among those that have toured the Fishers facility during the first year.
