The West Lafayette City Council has approved $200,000 for the Amtrak Hoosier State Line. WLFI-TV reports Mayor John Dennis is still concerned about two bridge construction projects that could affect ridership. You can read the city ordinance by clicking here.

The funding is part of an agreement among Amtrak, the state and cities along the Indianapolis-to-Chicago route.

It will help cover the cost of the train since federal dollars ran out earlier this year.

WLFI reports a meeting to discuss construction matters is set for Wednesday.
