Noblesville leaders are seeking public input on the latest version of its Comprehensive Master Plan. The city is asking residents to view the plan online before next month, when the city council will consider the proposal.

News Release

Noblesville, Ind. — The Noblesville Planning Department announced today that the most recent updates to the city’s Comprehensive Master Plan (Comp Plan) have been posted on www.PLANoblesville.org. The public is invited and encouraged to review this information.

As a reminder, this spring the Planning Department began “PLANoblesville”—an initiative to thoroughly review and update the Noblesville Comp Plan. The final version of the city’s updated Comp Plan will contain a vision statement, goals, objectives, implementation actions, maps, and graphics which will serve as a guide for future decision making about city-led development and building projects. A large amount of feedback has been solicited to help develop the proposed Comp Plan updates. The Planning Department gathered feedback from many sources including three public forums; an anonymous online public survey; the results of the 2010 Noblesville Citizen Survey; various stakeholder meetings; the city’s Thoroughfare Plan; and the Parks Department's Master Plan, to give just a few examples.

The final draft of the updated Comp Plan will be presented to the Plan Commission at their January meeting and then to the Noblesville Common Council at their meeting on January 28, 2014, where Council members will vote on its adoption.

The public is asked and encouraged to review these latest updates which can be found on www.PLANoblesville.org. After reviewing the information, people may email any questions or additional feedback to plandept@noblesville.in.us.
