INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Governor Mike Pence today named Kent Schroder as Interim Commissioner of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), effective today.
Schroder has served as the Chief of Staff for BMV since June 1, 2013, after serving as the Chief Information Officer of BMV since 2005. His responsibilities include delivering rapid improvements in delivery of services, increased revenue and cost reduction, and customer satisfaction. Schroder also helped to define and execute strategy that led to agency revitalization.
“I am confident that Kent Schroder will lead the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in this interim period with skill and integrity,” said Governor Pence.
Scott Waddell announced his resignation as Commissioner of the BMV last month.
