Purdue Senate to Consider Marriage Amendment Resolution

Posted: Updated:

The Purdue University Senate is set to consider a resolution Monday opposing an amendment to the state constitution that would ban same-sex marriage. The proposed resolution says the amendment is "contrary to the values and policies" of the school. Several universities have joined a coalition opposing the amendment. Freedom Indiana's members include Indiana University, Ball State University, DePauw University and Wabash College. The Indy Chamber and Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) have also joined.
